About Diwali Fireworks Display | Wembley and Harrow

First and foremost this event is a Diwali fireworks display, however, we have added a large and unique twist to that concept. We want to give our visitors something extra, more ‘BANG FOR THEIR BUCK’ if you’ll pardon the pun, so we have added a Diwali themed family fun day with a family festival. We have plenty of entertainment for you ranging from live DJ’s to a full-size Fun Fair in all its glory. Brent, Harrow and greater London Diwali celebration and Fireworks Display will be free to enter from 12 pm until 3pm. Our forthcoming Brent, Harrow and greater London Diwali celebration and Fireworks Display and Festival is going to be our largest event to date and is also themed around POP / CHART music. Fireworks are used for many different celebrations and events, from birthdays to weddings and also many religious festivals like Diwali and Eid. Diwali is one of the most significant festivals in the Indian culture. For Sikhs, it marks the day that Guru Hargobind Ji, the Sixth Sikh Guru, was freed from imprisonment. Diwali is celebrated by Lights, lamps, music, food, decorations will all be a major part of this week’s festivities, with thousands attending Diwali lights switch-on events around the country. Large firework displays are held to honour the legend of Rama, who according to local lore, was greeted with lights and celebrations after returning from exile. Those celebrating the festival also light traditional earthen candles called diyas and decorate their houses with colourful rangoli artworks – patterns created on the floor using coloured rice or powder. Families will also share Indian sweets and gifts, as well as giving food, money and goods to those in need. During Diwali, it is also traditional for families to clean their homes in honour of the new season, as well as wearing new clothes during the five-day celebration.
